A team of students from BYU will be traveling to Paris in June to participate in the L'Oreal Brandstorm marketing competition.

Blake Hadley, Matt Miller and Monica McGhie took home the top prize in L'Oreal's nationwide competition in New York City on Friday.

This is the second year of competition for BYU, which also won the national event last year. The event is in its 16th year and drew more than 200 entrants.

Two of the five teams competing in the national finals were from BYU, marking the first time one school had two teams in the top five. The other teams were from New York University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Texas at Austin.

L'Oreal asked students to create an international marketing campaign for Vichy Capital Soleil, its line of sun-care products.

In addition to the top national award, the BYU team won the "Best Communications Campaign" prize.

The students were unable to release details about the marketing campaigns until after the international competition.

Miller and Hailey Holt, a member of the second BYU team, have been offered internships with L'Oreal, and the three members of the 2007 team have accepted jobs with the company.
